This includes World Class products such as Camtite, Camline, Dia-Flo, Fabri-Valve, and Pure-Flo valves and services. Hughes-Primeau Controls will inventory the products in the Cleveland warehouse for quick deliveries. Hughes-Primeau personnel are extremely familar with the product line, having long association with ITT Industries over the years. John Primeau & Paul Krause accepted Sales Awards for the second straight year from Dresser Masoneilan, last year being 155% of plan, and then ringing the bell this year with ending 2004 at 118% of plan. Bellevue, Washington, June 29, 2004 - MagnaDrive Corporation, a supplier of patented torque transfer technology to industry, announced today the introduction of a full line of heavy duty self supporting adjustable speed drives. The drives are designed for a wide variety of applications ranging from 150 hp to 500 hp and handling motor speeds up to 3600 rpm.

The new drives, which incorporate all the features found in MagnaDrive's standard line of adjustable speed drives, provide energy savings and lower maintenance cost benefits in applications previously not served by the company. The units are fully enclosed allowing use in harsh environments. The design is self-supporting which reduces installation time by over 60%.

"Over the last six months we have had numerous requests for high-speed or small-diameter shaft applications," stated Jim Cich, MagnaDrive's President and CEO. "This new line of drives, targeted at the larger horsepower applications that can most benefit from our technology, will significantly increase the markets we serve."

The first two heavy duty units were sold to MagnaDrive's Midwest distributor Hughes-Primeau Control, Inc. One drive was installed at in Michigan for a 400 hp forced draft fan application. The other unit was installed outdoors at a Premcor refinery in Ohio, attached to a 250 hp Distillate Blend pump.

John Primeau, President of Hughes-Primeau Control, Inc. commented, "The new heavy duty drives installed much more quickly than expected - they were literally dropped right into place, connected the actuator controls, and started it spinning with no startup problems. The Premcor engineer estimates that by buying the MagnaDrive in lieu of the traditional VFD and inverter duty motor, they saved over $140,000. By using adjustable speed to run the pump down to 800 rpm instead of 1800 rpm, they will be saving up to $40,000 per year in energy costs. Both units have been running well for over seven months now and my customers have already reported significant reductions in operating costs. We plan to purchase several more units in the near future - this new line will be a winner for our customers, MagnaDrive and us!"
