 BSX
The BSX family of Thermon self-regulating heating cables provides the solution to freeze-protection and process-temperature maintenance applications. BSX heating cables maintain process temperatures up to 150°F (65°C) and can withstand intermittent exposure to temperatures up to 185°F (85°C). D1-RSX is Class I, Division 1 rated.

The heating cables are configured for use in nonhazardous and hazardous (classified) locations, including areas where corrosives may be present.

The HTSX family of Thermon self-regulating heating cables are designed for pipe heat tracing in industrial applications. HTSX heating cables can provide process-temperature maintenance up to 250°F and can also be used for freeze protection in systems having high heat loss.

The heating cables are configured for use in nonhazardous and hazardous (classified) locations, including areas where corrosives may be present.

The VSX family of Thermon self-regulating heating cables provides solutions for industrial freeze protection and process-temperature maintenance applications requiring high power output. VSX heating cables can withstand temperatures up to 450°F (232°C) and provide process temperature maintenance to 300°F (121°C).

The heating cables are configured for use in non-hazardous and hazardous (classified) locations, including areas where corrosives may be present.

 HPT
Power-Limiting Cables are used for applications requiring high power output or exceed the temperature ranges of self-regulating cables. HPT can be used for freeze protection and process-temperature maintenance requiring high power output and/or high temperature exposure. HPT can be run at 480 vac, enabling longer and fewer circuits on long length piping.

HPT can provide process-temperature maintenance up to 455°F (230°C) and can withstand routine steam purges and temperature excursions to 482°F (250°C) with power off. HPT cables are approved for use in non- hazardous and hazardous locations.

Alloy 825 Mineral Insulated Heating Cables provide solutions for industrial freeze protection and process-temperature maintenance applications in hazardous and non hazardous locations.

MI is also used where high power output, high exposure temperatures, or extreme resistance to environmental corrosives are needed. MI heating cables can provide up to 82 watts per foot (269 watts per meter) of power output with area classification and design approvals. MI heating cables are constructed and approved for use in non hazardous and hazardous (classified) The maximum application temperature for heating units is 932°F (500°C) and the maximum exposure temperature for the heating cable is 1100°F (593°C). Higher temperatures are available by special order.

RT  
RT tank heating pads are designed for applications ranging from freeze protection to process-temperature maintenance of tanks. Thermon offers RT tank heating pads with two power densities, making them ideal for metal tanks (lined and unlined) and plastic tanks. Factory Mutual (FM) and the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) have approved RT tank heating pads for use in both non hazardous and hazardous locations. RTL may be used on tank walls capable of up to 185°F (85°C), and RTL may be used on tanks with walls capable of 280°F (138°C).
RT is offered with two power densities (-L and -H).
